“Dual citizenship is not about privilege, it is about equality"
Those Indians who have chosen to advance their personal circumstances while contributing to the development of India by living abroad, deserve not to be forced to make the heart-wrenching decision to renounce their Indian citizenship if they choose to also take up the citizenship of the country where they live. The latter decision is often made for personal or professional reasons. India's neighbours like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan all allow dual citizenship.

“High time India offers dual citizenship to OCIs and PIOs.”
This will be a win-win situation for all the parties. Not only it will open avenues for billions in investments for India it will bring a sense of loyalty to OCIs/PIOs towards our motherland. Another important point to consider that OCIs residing in India should have different category to distinguish them from OCIs settled abroad. We must not treat OCIs residing in India as foreigners.
